Joy Hutchison is an Engineer within DiligentIQ’s Engineering team where she is responsible for backend design while expanding into full-stack development, implementing features across the entire application architecture.

She brings a blend of technical expertise and creative problem solving to her role. Her strong academic foundation spans various cybersecurity domains, complemented by hands-on professional experience in automation and software development.

While completing her studies, Joy worked as a contract developer, implementing a course-designing automation tool for her university's Academic Technologies Department. During this time, she also provided technical support to faculty, gaining valuable experience in both software development and IT services.

In 2022, Joy completed a 6-month student internship in the Quality Systems & Compliance department at Alkermes, a global Bio-Pharmaceutical company. There, she was responsible for documenting and testing corporate systems, as well as designing training programs to support system implementation.

Joy earned her Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity from Northeastern University.

Outside of work, she enjoys exploring her interests in malware and network security research, particularly where they intersect with AI, with personal projects and research. When offline, she can be found bouldering, practicing yoga, or losing herself in the fantastical worlds of books and movies.
