Matt Brandman is the Head of Security and IT at Duolingo, the world's most popular language learning platform with over 80 million daily active users. While at Duolingo Matt has built a security team, implemented a distributed zero trust VPN, implemented network changes that prevented 90% of security related outages, and added continuous application scanning to the CI/CD platform. He focuses on fostering a culture of inclusivity within security making sure developers feel a partnership with the security team and safe coming to them with issues. He emphasizes a deep understanding of businesses he operates within sculpting the security models to their unique needs. Prior to Duolingo, Matt was the Lead Application Security Engineer at Blackstone where he started and built out the application security program from 0 to 5 engineers. The core focus of the team was a modular serverless code scanning process that is still in use by the entire organization. Matt has a BS in Computer Science with a Concentration in Cyber Operations from Northeastern University. In his spare time Matt runs a Dungeons and Dragons campaign for his friends that has been running for the better part of 7 years.
Perry Golkin is the co-founder and CEO of Public Pension Capital. Before PPC, Perry was at KKR for 25 years. During his tenure at KKR, he held various positions, including: serving on the Operating Committee, Portfolio Management Committee, Financial Services investing team and leading KKR’s capital raising group. Perry served on numerous corporate boards, on which he worked including; American Reinsurance, Willis Group and Rockwood Chemicals. At PPC, Perry has served on the Boards of KVK, Shift, Inframark, and Precast. He serves as a trustee at Penn, and serves on the boards of its Law School and health system. He regularly lectures at Wharton and Penn’s Law School.
Keith is the Chief Technology Officer and Managing Director at PAAMCO Prisma, a multi-strategy multi-manager investment firm. With over 2 decades of experience in the asset management industry, he has a proven track record of successfully implementing and managing technology solutions across various sectors, including equity, credit, private equity, and funds-of-hedge funds. He excels in high-energy environments, thrives in complex and uncertain situations, and is known for his innovative leadership in building and leading teams to tackle strategic challenges. From 2007 – 2017, he was at KKR where he led multiple implementations of critical systems across finance and public markets, holding various technology positions, from VP to Director. Keith began his career as a management consultant at PwC in 1999, spending 8 years between New York and San Francisco offices. He received his B.A. from Cornell University. Outside of work, Keith skis, ice climbs, cooks for his family and friends, and trains for ultra trail runs.
Dan Ryan, is a retired PwC partner and was the firm’s Banking and Capital Markets Leader. He served as a business advisor to a wide range of the firm's global financial services clients and consulted on matters ranging from business strategy and M&A activity to governance, risk and compliance issues. He is also a subject matter expert on litigation and regulatory.
Casey Santos is an executive leader, independent board director, and advisor with expertise across a diverse range of industries, business lines, and functions. In her former roles as the Chief Information Officer for Asurion and General Atlantic, she led strategy and drove innovation leveraging AI, data analytics, cloud technology and other technology to deliver business value across the enterprise while managing cybersecurity risk, resiliency and regulatory compliance. Casey began her career at NASA’s Mission Control as an aerospace engineer supporting multiple Space Shuttle missions. She left NASA to be an IT consultant, implementing technology to serve multiple industries. After her graduate studies, she consulted with McKinsey in Madrid and New York. Following consulting, she also held senior technology leadership roles at McKinsey’s private investment office and AllianceBernstein. Ms. Santos is a Board Director at Omnicom, Board Director and Audit Compliance and Risk Committee Chair for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, as well as a member of the Nashville Electric Service Board. She is a Special Advisor for Generative AI to Vanderbilt University. She is currently the board chair for the Greater Nashville Technology Council. She formerly served on the boards of BritishAmerican Business, Wall Street Technology Association, Women’s Forum of New York and the YMCA of Greater New York where she co-chaired the Hispanic Achiever’s event. She has been awarded honors as a HITEC (Hispanic Information Technology Executive Council) 100 as well as the Constellation Research Transformation 150. She also serves on the Advisory Board of Writer and has served on the advisory boards of AWS, Zoom, Box, MoveWorks, Aiden, Masergy, Agio, and the Financial Technology Forum. Ms. Santos holds a B.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT, an M.B.A. from the Wharton School and a MA in International Studies from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania.
Edward Stroz founded Stroz Friedberg, an international digital forensics and cyber investigations firm, later sold toAon plc in 2016. Previously, Ed was an FBI Supervisory Special Agent, where he specialized in white collar investigations and then formed their Computer Crime Squad in New York. Trained as an auditor, Ed has extensive experience in investigations of white-collar crime, including financial fraud, and has testified numerous times as an expert witness. Ed has a special expertise in using behavioral science insights for managing insider risk for institutional clients. He is a Trustee of Fordham University, sits on the Board of Directors of the Citizens Crime Commission of NYC, and the Board of Directors of The Soufan Center. He is also a Senior Fellow of the Program on Corporate Compliance and Enforcement (PCCE) at the NYU School of Law, and co-founder of Consilience 360, LLC which advises boards on cyber risk governance.
Judy Turchin is a 25 year veteran in the consumer, financial services, and real estate sectors. She is the former COO of Equinox, the luxury lifestyle business, and was previously a pivotal figure in Blackstone’s Real Estate group as the GC and CCO. Currently, Judy serves as the Founder/CEO of JPT Partners LLC, a global advisory firm, partnering with private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies to tackle their most critical strategic issues, including customer experience, brand and marketing, sales and operational excellence at scale. Judy holds board positions at New York Road Runners, OVME, Mint House and Suntex Marinas. Judy brings a wealth of experience in operations, customer experience, sales and marketing and will further bolster DiligentIQ’s strategic initiatives.
